Default How I Took It: Cooled down, evening look

This photograph was shot in the middle of the day in a small, quaint apartment in the historical section of East Aurora, NY (~30 min south of Niagara Falls). The desired look was a cooler, evening feeling, however.

The lighting consisted of 2 B800's; one behind me with a softbox aimed at the ceiling, the second in the room on the right behind the model, bare, pointed at the doorway to make it look like there's a light on in the other room. To achieve the cool blue look, I adjusted the white balance to somewhere around Tungsten (~3000K) instead of gelling the B800's. Post-processing consisted only of minor skin touch-ups, contrast adjustments, and some exposure compenstations (dropped my exposure 1/2 stop to darken the image).

I metered the strobes well above ambient to be able to control the lighting better.

I ended up shooting at ISO 200, f9.5 at 1/125th for the key light, with the light in the far room metered roughly a stop brighter (I adjusted it by eye until it looked good). Shot on a Canon 5D with a 24-70mm 2.8L lens attached, the meta data says my focal length was 45mm for this shot.

Very Nice! Did You Adjust The White Balance In Camera Or In A Image Editing Software?

I adjust it in camera. The less I have to do in post the better.
